Vinegret is a very popular salad from Russia. It is prepared from red beets, carrots, potatoes, sauerkraut, potatoes, onions and pickles. To add a bit of green, green beans or green peas are also added. Brined pickles are used in this salad and vegetables are diced. Vinaigrette is a dressing in this salad. Brine from pickles are also added to enhance the flavour.
