Empanada is a type of pastry which has a filling inside. Typically it is baked but depending on the requirement some people prefer it fried. The filling is prepared with corn, cheese, meat, tomatoes and other ingredients. The dough is folded after putting the filling over it.

Empanada may look similar to Indian snack Gujiya but it’s quite different as per the filling.
