Seasonings like spring onions, ginger, garlic, gochugaru and liquid jeotgal are used. Gochugaru is basically Korean chili powder and liquid jeotgal is salted seafood sauce. Kimchi is not eaten as a meal but as a side dish. People all around the world recognize Kimchi as spicy fermented cabbage.
