Teriyaki is a cooking technique used widely in Japan. In this technique, foods are grilled or broiled using a glaze of three ingredients. Soy sauce, sugar or honey and mirin are the ingredients used for glazing. Mirin is basically a type of rice beer. Teriyaki technique is used to cook a variety of fishes like tuna, salmon and mackerel. Chicken, pork and lamb are also cooked using this method.
