Baklava is a layered pastry dessert of Ottoman cuisine. Filo pastry is used to prepare this delicious dessert. Pastry is filled with chopped nuts like pistachios, walnuts and sweetened with sugar syrup or honey. In some variations of Baklava, cinnamon, clove, saffron and hazelnuts are used.
